Evol Walks Releases Back Where You Belong

Evol Walks Back Where You Belong

LA-based Evol Walks released their new single “Back Where You Belong” today, Sept 16, 2022. The band which formed in 2014 is fronted by red-haired vixen Australian singer / songwriter Leah Martin-Brown.

It didn’t take long after their formation for Evol Walks to release their debut EP, The Other Side, in 2015. Along the way, the band honed their musical chops playing iconic LA clubs like the Viper Room and Whiskey A Go Go on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.

Evol Walks toured extensively throughout the US West Cost, Europe, and Martin-Brown’s native
Australia before being signed by Jens Lundberg to the Swedish Management company Blue Lemon Management. When the pandemic hit, Martin-Brown headed to Stockholm, Sweden to continue working on new music. The singles “Man in the Box” and “Gun & a Crucifix” were released in 2021 while “Drag Me Down” was released in earlier this year in June.

“Back Where You Belong” was produced by Brian Howes who has worked with such bands as Airbourne, Nickelback, Halestorm, Simple Plan, and Daughtry. Leah Martin-Brown demonstrates with this song that Taylor Swift does not have a monopoly on writing great breakup songs. Whereas Swift’s weapon of choice tends to be an acoustic guitar, Evol Walks version of a breakup is set to hard electric guitar rhythms. Leah Martin-Brown says, “Back Where You Belong is the breakup song written in hell for the person struggling with their inner demons.”
