Welcome to The Nightshift Tour

It was a Tuesday night in San Francisco at The Independent when Smallpools and Grayscale came through on The Nightshift Tour. Surprisingly, San Francisco had very low energy, and, as a SF native, it was pretty disappointing to see low energy! Nonetheless, Grayscale did an incredible job and had a great setlist!

Opening their performance, Grayscale kicked it off with my favorite Grayscale song, “Just Right” off their Nella Vita album. Their setlist included “Fever Dream”, “Baby Blue”, “In Violet”, and my favorite song off of their Umbra album, “Motown”. It seems like yesterday I was seeing Grayscale play the Warped Tour 2018 to a crowd of 30, yet, here we are to an [almost] sold-out show in San Francisco.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stay for Smallpools set, however, seeing live coverage via their Instagram, their crowd work looks absolutely insane! Such a bummer I couldn’t stay very long, but I can’t wait to catch them on their next tour!

As someone who has been a massive fan of Grayscale and Smallpools, you get to take an incredible journey through their musical careers, and really understand just how far they have come as musicians with their style changing throughout the years, yet, still keeping their pop-punk and Indie Punk roots throughout their musicianship. If you have the chance to see Grayscale and Smallpools live, I urge you to buy a ticket to a show near you!
