Concert Review: She Wants Revenge Performs at The Fonda Theatre After 2 Year Hiatus

Artist: She Wants Revenge

Venue: Fonda Theatre, Los Angeles, CA

Date: August 31, 2022

In the city of lost angels, during the dreadful heatwave, walks the sinners of Valleyheart. She Wants Revenge welcomes a culture of goths, latinx and all lace and leather lovers for two nights at The Fonda Theatre. The Los Angeles natives invited Creature of Doom and D’Arcy to open up for their long-awaited return to the stage.

As I walked the shadowy street down, I noticed a massive line that swarm the entrance door. Fans awaited to the purchase the remainder of tickets that followed a sold out show the next evening. I gathered my passes and entered a room with the energy of a thousand daggers. Their relentless crowd stood grounded and grew by the second as each act performed.

Creature of Doom and D’Arcy follows the similar likes of the headliner. Being surrounded by the historical 1920’s decor revives old Hollywood with a twisted vibe that gave me shivers with anticipation. The lights go out and here comes the guest of honor.

First notes of “Red Flags and Long Nights” strings the familiar sound we all recognize instantly. It smoothly transitioned to their hit, “These Things” without any breaks in between. The full set was jammed packed with 16 tracks from Valleyheart, This Is Forever, and their self-titled, She Wants Revenge

The evening felt like a vampiric ball. The audience dressed up in their bloody Sunday best and danced like Cirque du Soleil. It was spectacular to see such burning passion for the group’s music. Their fan base are the most dedicated creatures I have encountered. Their performance was one to die for. You can catch She Wants Revenge on their 2022 Disappear Tour now.
