Bring Me The Horizon Infect LA on Their Post Human Tour

Esteemed British rockers Bring Me The Horizon hit The Kia Forum last week on their stop in Los Angeles. The band has been on their Post Human Tour since late September, where they kicked off in Brooklyn. Supporting acts on the tour are Siiickbrain, Grandson and Knocked Loose — all different artists in comparison with each other, but all very worth getting there early for.

Opening with a bang to their mega-hit “Can You Feel My Heart,” the band immediately sent the crowd into a frenzy. Complete with cannons shooting out heart-shaped confetti, the atmosphere was perfect for their highly anticipated entrance. The set contained songs from various albums, most (of course) being off of their newest release Post Human: Survival Horror, which the tour was spawned from. Close behind were a handful of tracks from That’s The Spirit (2015). Other notable songs were most recently released tracks “DiE4u” and “sTraNgeRs” as well as arena-ready anthem, “MANTRA.”

The production aspect of the show was invigorating and constantly adapting to match the aesthetic and mood of each track throughout the set. Immersive visual effects combined with hazy smoke and pyrotechnics contributed to the full-fledged experience. The stage was wrapped in LED screens, allowing a seamless backdrop to flow from behind to the foreground with the band members laced in. High-octane energy oozed from the entire performance as vocalist Oliver Sykes commanded the crowd through mosh pits, crowd surfing all while leading a 15,000+ fan singalong. Even with a stage crasher in tow, Sykes and the band flawlessly carried the intense energy.

Bring Me The Horizon sets zero boundaries when it comes to their music — that transfers to their live shows as well. One minute you’re at a metalcore show… the next, a rave. With the unique blend of electronic aspects and traditional rock/metal instrumentals, their sound is truly an in-your-face experience that will have you feeling like you just left a rock-n-roll cult meet-up (in the best way). There are a few dates left on the tour, followed by an appearance at all 3 days of When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas. Check out the remaining shows here and be sure to keep your eyes open for the next time Bring Me The Horizon goes back on tour — trust me, you don’t want to miss this experience to see them live and catch the addictive infection that is BMTH.
