JPEGMAFIA Joins Web3 Musicians at Debut of Avalanche Park x Ed Balloon Concert Series in LA

Web3 innovator, NFT artist and musical muse Ed Balloon (Instagram, Twitter) teamed up with NFT smart contract platform Avalanche to bring a diverse, jam-packed show at The Belasco in Los Angeles on February 23. The Avalanche Park x Ed Balloon Concert Series featured handpicked artists by Ed Balloon himself: JPEGMAFIA, clipping., JELEEL!, Witch Prophet — as well as a performance of his own. The event was curated with the underground, genre-bending, alt-hip-hop scene in mind — with intentions to showcase more diverse culture and content within the web3 community.

Fans entering the event received a free Avalanche Park NFT upon arrival — which boasted many perks during the show and is said to hold future utility including: exclusive priority access to RSVP, VIP or raffles for meet and greets and unique merch for subsequent events. A raffle via MynaSwap for a pair of rare sneakers from Cool Kicks was one of the in-show bonuses along with discounted merch. Ticketing portal Moongate helped the event entry run seamlessly as the around-the-block line filtered their way inside.

All of the artists on the roster radiated a strong, feel-good energy while the environment felt inclusive and united. We heard sneak peeks from both JELEEL! and JPEGMAFIA, giving us a look into upcoming releases. Notable crowd interaction from each artist was a big plus — who doesn’t like feeling up close and personal with your favorite artist? That said, the crowd was enthusiastic and truly thrilled to be there — thriving at an event where hip-hop music and arts culture meshed with the web3 and NFT community, creating a safe, inviting place for people to make friends and network. From the floor to the balcony, everyone was dancing, moshing and celebrating the web3 soundscape in every way possible.
