Welcome To Rockville Band Spotlight: Widow7

Let’s face it, being an independently owned and marketed band is not as easy as people may think it is. However, when you have platforms such as social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc) along with streaming platforms such as Twitch, you can certainly gain the edge on standing out amongst the elite. Widow7 does just that and more!

Despite adversary caused by the pandemic we all have faced, in just one year since the birth of Widow7 the band has already made its way to performing at 3 major festivals with 3 more scheduled for this year (Including Welcome To Rockville and Inkcarceration Festival).

The breakout band has already made splash in the radio waves by having their music played on major radio channels, including SiriusXM Octane. The band was also given the blessing by Metal Ambassador and SiriusXM Octane host, Jose Mangin.

On top of the previous and upcoming festival appearances, Widow7 has also toured and opened for some of the top metal bands of all time such as Lamb Of God, Metallica, Slipknot, Megadeth, and many more. This band has gained momentum for opening for bands of that caliber. They are a proven example to not sleep on the underdogs, as they are climbing their way to the top of the Metal food chain!

Widow7 has also caught the attention from Zach Myers of Shinedown in which he states: “I liked ‘Therapy’ a lot: my favorite thing I’ve heard tonight…shout out to your band: keep going and you will go far”.

This band is certainly making their way into the metal scene with no signs of slowing down. They currently have singles such as ‘Blood Money’, ‘Hopeless’, and the Zach Myers favorite ‘Therapy’.

To those who are going to Welcome To Rockville this year, be sure to get there early on Thursday, May 19, to catch Widow7 on the Octane Stage at 2:30 PM.
