Song Review: Lindsay Katt – “Seeus”

SelfPortrait

New York City based singer Lindsay Katt recently released a new song called “Seeus”. Lindsay Katt discovered her love for art and music in rural Montana and then moved out to NYC. She creates genuine and authentic music which isn’t something that’s heard as much as it should be in modern music.

“Seeus” is a powerful pop tune with a positive message behind it. Katt starts off singing with a guitar/drums behind here. It builds up over the first verses and then releases into the chorus. The chorus has a very feel-good sound to it and this is where you hear the power of the song. Besides the music of the song, the lyrics are really important to listen to as well. One of the lines that stuck out to me was “Make some space for everything you aim to make”. Not only is that line important to me but it’s also something that should appeal to a lot of people.

Lindsay Katt’s songs have also inspired a short film called The Avant Gardener. The short film follows a young girl through her life as she figures out how to balance her art and her social life. There are deeper themes that are also being portrayed throughout the film such as self-love, self-assurance and acceptance.

There really isn’t anything better than art and being able to express yourself is very important. Lindsay Katt demonstrates the importance of self-expression with songs like “Seeus” and being able to work on movies like The Avant Gardener. If you want to experience more than music then I suggest checking out Lindsay Katt’s work.
