Venue: MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds

July 26th, 2022: With this lineup, you would think we are back in 1999 but 23 years later Powerman 5000, Static-X, Mudvayne, and Rob Zombie put on a tremendous show for us all!

The show kicked off with Powerman 5000 taking the stage. Though they only played 7 songs, they certainly had the crowd going right from the start! Opening the set with the Tonight the Stars Revolt! Track “Footsteps and Voices”.  They then followed up with “Nobody’s Real”, eventually playing the bigger hits such as “Bombshell” and concluding with “When Worlds Collide”.

Next up is Static-X, while the new vocalist who goes by the alias “Xer0” remains a mystery (though most of speculate it can possibly be Edsel Dope from the band Dope), Xer0’s intention is to keep Wayne Static’s legacy alive and as authentic as it possibly be. The band demonstrated this by having their setlist consist of mainly songs from the first album Wisconsin Death Trip and 1 track from the Machine album. The band kicked it off with “Bled For Days” followed by “Wisconsin Death Trip”, and ended their set with Static-X’s most iconic song “Push It”

Following up to Static-X, was Mudvayne. Last time I saw Mudvayne was at Welcome To Rockville 2021, in which I felt like Chad’s vocals were not at his best. Possibly because it was the first year of the Mudvayne reunion and he was still shaking out the cobwebs. However, he and the rest of the band sounded incredible at this show! Mudvayne opened with their first hit off the L.D 50 album “Dig”. The band was in full force, and throughout the show Chad would go into the pit area during his performance while attendees hold him up.

It was electrifying to see Mudvayne perform so great after all these years. They knocked out all the hits such as “Internal Primates Forever” Determined” “Not Falling” and closing out their set with “Happy?”.

Finally, the ringleader of the Freakshow Parade himself, Rob Zombie enters the stage. Anyone who has ever seen Rob Zombie in concert knows that he always has the most theatrical stage props and lightning anyone has ever seen. Opening up with The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy (Try saying that 5 times fast) single “The Triumph of King Freak (A Crypt of Preservation and Superstition) all while standing on his iconic “Zombie” Podium.

Rob Zombie and company proceed to then play the hits such as “Superbeast” and “Meet the Creeper”. During their set, the band also played 2 White Zombie classics “More Human Than Human” and “Thunder Kiss ‘65” prior to starting up “Thunder Kiss ‘65” John 5 performed a guitar solo which also consisted of the AC/DC “Thunderstruck” lead riff, while having the crowd and Rob Zombie himself chant “THUNDER!”.

The band then had a small intermission, in which the trailer for Rob Zombie’s Munster Movie was played on the LED Screens on stage. The band then comes back to close out the show with “Dragula”
