Photos / Review: Story Of The Year Plays The Glass House for the First Time for Album Release “Wolves”

Who: Story of the Year

Where: The Glass House Concert Hall, Pomona, California

When: April 6, 2018

Story of the Year brought the noise to The Glass House for the first time in their career as a band. The band has noted that they have played in the City of Pomona for Warped Tour and members of the band have played with other acts in the past within the city, however, this was the first time the band as a whole played The Glass House for a milestone performance in honor of their new record “Wolves.”

Story of the Year’s Southern California Performance Included Songs that Spanned Throughout Their Career

Old school fans of Story of the Year were pleased to hear that many songs from the band’s debut album, Page Avenue, made the cut for the setlist. Such songs included: “And the Hero Will Drown,” “Anthem of Our Dying Day,” and “Sidewalks.”

In addition, the band played new material from their album “Wolves” showing both new fans and long time dedicated fans of the band that Story of the Year is not afraid to experiment and change their sound.

What Is the Future for Story of the Year?

Story of the Year is set to play some international dates leading up to their scheduled dates on the final cross country run for Vans Warped Tour. With the exception of these scheduled dates, not much else is known for the future of the band, however, after many fans witnessed the passion the band still has for playing live shows, there no reason to assume the band will be slowing down any time soon.

The release of “Wolves” signals the next chapter for Story of the Year and if it is anything like their recent string of record release shows, this just may be the best chapter in the band’s career to date.
