Who: FIDLAR, Dilly Dally
Where: Van Buren Theater, Phoenix, Arizona
When: October 19, 2018
FIDLAR brought an abundance of raw energy to their show at Phoenix’s Van Buren this Friday. Upon hearing the first note of the band’s recent single, “Alcohol,” the crowd made space for flailing moshers who mirrored the band members’ vigor throughout their set. Along with their new singles, FIDLAR played fan favorites spanning their ten-year discography. A highlight of FIDLAR’s set was when frontman Zac Carper initiated a girls-only mosh pit during “9 to 5,” after criticizing the typically male-dominated punk music scene.
Dilly Dally wowed the audience with their intense loud-soft dynamics. Frontwoman Katie Monks’ screaming paired well with the band’s swirling atmospheric guitar sounds.
