The “Blame Canada Tour” finally made its way to the Golden State. Simple Plan, Sum 41, & Magnolia Park rocked out a packed show at Ace of Spades in Sacramento, CA on Wednesday night.

Orlando, FL. Pop Punk/Alternative rock band, Magnolia Park opened up the Blame Canada Tour with a very welcoming Sacramento crowd. Enticing the crowd, lead singer [Joshua Roberts] claims “I’ve heard Sacramento is a crazy f-cking crowd” and of course, this Sacramento crowd proved them right. Covering Fall Out Boys iconic hit song “Sugar We’re Going Down Swinging” really made this crowd bring their a-game. Finally seeing Magnolia Park live for the first time was something I was pumped for and these guys did not disappoint! Magnolia Park is definitely a band I recommend you catch if they’re in your city!

Playing an hour and a half set, SUM41 finally hits the stage! Opening their set with “Motivation”, this Sacramento crowd was pumped. Ace of Spades had a smaller stage compared to other venues they played but this did not stop the band from using every inch of the stage. Lead singer Deryck Whibley was dancing and jumping across the stage along with the rest of the band. I’ve seen SUM41 play at music festivals with massive crowds- but seeing them play in a more intimate setting with an insane amount of energy is something that’s always awesome to see. When performing “Fat Lip” you couldn’t hear Deryck sing at all so he let the crowd sing for him- that was definitely a highlight moment for me.

Last, but not least, it was time for Simple Plan to hit the stage! Simple Plan has played at Ace of Spades before but this crowd was a lot different. Opening their set with “I’d Do Anything” the crowd was jumping and dancing around and security immediately flooded in for crowd surfers. Lead singer [Pierre Bouvier] tells Sacramento “it’s great to be back… your energy is dying down… let’s go!” and immediately plays “Shut Up!”. During this set- confetti and smoke cannons are going off, crowd surfers being caught over barricade railing and security making sure everyone’s safe.

the Blame Canada Tour ends on August 28th, 2022 in Worcester, MA so make sure you catch this tour, you diffidently don’t want to miss it!
