Metallica Announce New Tour, New album, and Release New Single!

It has been an eventful week, but the highlight of it all is when Lars Ulrich came onto the Howard Stern Show to make some big announcements. The kings of Thrash Metal are back with a 2023-2024 tour, along with a new album titled 72 Seasons, and have released a new single Lux Aeterna.

72 Seasons is the first album from Metallica since 2016, following their Hardwired…to Self-Destruct release. Their new single Lux Aeterna sounds much like their old thrash roots. It has hints of Kill ‘Em All while maintaining a modern thrash tone.

Metallica will be embarking on a 2-year US/UK tour and each city will have 2 shows each, which will feature 2 completely different set list. Opening for the tours are: Pantera, Mammoth WVH, Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills, and Greta Van Fleet (On select shows, in replacement of Pantera).
