Krooked Kings Will Never Make Us Sick of Being Young

Mid-September, Krooked Kings made an appearance with Night Cap joining their fall tour across the globe. The intimate show allowed every fan to feel a personal connection with the bands and their music all night. It took place at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana. That night left everyone speechless, especially this photographer who has been a fan since listening to their hit song ‘Lying Through Their Teeth’ on a road trip in the winter. To say they left an impression on anyone with any of their songs is an understatement. This was a show you never would have wanted to miss.

Starting off the night, indie band Night Cap came out to prepare the crowd for the night that was to come. They played their best songs and made the night moody and just the right setting to make it unforgettable and got all of the fans riled up for the main act. With their laid-back outfits, they set the mood just right for Krooked Kings to make their appearance.

With their glowing presence, Krooked Kings made their debut in Santa Ana to get the crowd excited by walking on stage while waving and making connections with their fans in the crowd who had been waiting for the show since they announced their tour, this certain photographer being one of them. With the enthusiastic welcome from and to the crowd, the band started off the show with “All Out of Good Days,” which represented how everyone felt about being there. Even if someone were to feel like they were out of good moments for the rest of the week, month, or year, there is the hope that more are to come. The show was one of those good moments that anyone would think back on, enjoying the memories of the guitar melodies, emotional lyrics, and the crowd’s energy. Without a doubt, a song that was a crowd favorite (including myself) was “Lying Through Their Teeth,” which is their overall top listened-to song from their album All Out of Good Days. Following some of these amazing songs the band has released, the fans, venue workers, and even their friends that were present, could not get enough. Personal favorites included “Lovesong,” “Coming of Age,” “96 Subaru”. Ending the night with “Sick of Being Young” and “Bird Scooter,” band members Oliver, David, Matthew, Paul, and Quinn made their fans enthusiastic by having a meet and greet for everyone. Being as their fans include many teenagers and young adults, both bands had photo opportunities with anyone wanting one, creating a personal and monumental experience for anyone who was there to enjoy their Friday night in Santa Ana, California. A night that would always be thought of as one of someone’s good days.
