Floor Space Releases Maybe This Is It

Nothing grabs my attention quicker than a new release from an East Coast punk band. When Lehigh Valley rockers Floor Space announced their latest album Maybe This is It I was all in. The album was produced by John Naclerio at Nada Recording Studio which has worked with artists such as My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, and Brand New. The album features Charlie Bruno on Vocals, Guitar and Bass, Trevor Rogers on Drums and John James Ryan Jr. on Saxophone on “Dibs.”

This is the band’s third album following 2017’s Floor Space and 2022’s Nothing Makes Sense. The band takes a big jump from their debut album. The lead single “Smile While It’s Ending” raised expectations for the new album. The band certainly didn’t disappoint. This is by far their best work to date.

Frontman Charlie Bruno’s vocals hold up to those of great pop punk singers such as Billie Joe Armstrong, Deryck Whibley, and Pierre Bovier. The band has been compared to Green Day and there are certainly similarities. Both groups debuted with raw album before taking a big leap with their third album. Could Maybe This Is It be Floor Space’s Dookie? We will have to wait and see.

“Maybe This Is It is a punk rock record about everything I’ve experienced in the last year” shares Bruno. “From heartbreak to addiction to overcoming depressive episodes, it’s the most vulnerable thing I’ve ever made and I hope that translates to anyone who takes a listen.”
