Interview: The ReAktion talks new album, 2017 plans and more

Concert Crap: How excited are you to release Similitude?

We have been working very hard with close friends and pirates from around the globe. We are all looking forward for the final version of the album.

CC: How is it similar and different from your first release?

Music is always changing, so as we are. The message of love and positive vibes is what conducts the vitality of The Reaktion and this prevails. We would not be able to write eleven albums with the same musical approach and esthetic, because our lives and perceptions are constantly moving and taking shapes. The album itself is deeply affected by our day-to-day mood and it’s an extensive description of our lives as well.

CC: Who would you like to tour with supporting this album?

Korn, Deftones, Gojira, Seether, Stone Sour, Sevendust, Royal Blood, Foo Fighters, Twenty One Pilots, Tenacious D, 36 Crazy Fists, In motion and Kiroptera.

CC: Could we see a headlining tour for The ReAktion to support this release?

Somewhere around 2018

CC: Why should people buy and listen to this album?

Because we need to pay our toilet paper, since our musical digestion is pretty strong and it has some seductive material for the mind.

CC: You guys recently covered “Like a Stone” by Audioslave. If you could pick a band to cover a song from you guys, who would you pick and why?

It would be cool to watch G-Eazy perform one of the heavy songs of the album and maybe a remix from Sid Wilson, it would be interesting to see how they blend with our style.

CC: What does The ReAktion have in store for the rest of 2017?

A lot of fresh energy fried in the studio in an intense fuego ready to be served these upcoming tours.

Thank you guys for the interview and the moment. Much love Virgo, Simon and Esteban.
