HeartSupport Fest Day One Preview

It’s one week away from the inaugural HeartSupport Fest which will take place on February 18th and 19th at the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando. The festival was organized by August Burns Red singer Jake Luhrs and his non-profit HeartSupport foundation. Headlining the festival is Rise Against and Parkway Drive.

The lineup and times for Day One have been announced with twelve bands performing on the opening day of the festival. South Texas metalcore band, Bloodlines, will kick things off on the Hot Topic Foundation stage at 1:30 pm. Over the next 5 hours, Bloodlines along with Currents, Bleed From Within, He is Legend, The Word Alive, Comeback Kid, The Devil Wears Prada, Memphis May Fire, and Underoath will perform non-overlapping sets on two stages. Once the sun sets, the final three acts August Burns Red, Dance Gavin Dance, and Parkway Drive will perform on the main BetterHelp stage.

Jake Luhrs says, “Our mission with HeartSupport Fest is not to recreate the festival experience, but to bring the self-care and self-love conversation to the forefront of the festival community by creating a space that promotes active dialogue around challenges that we all face, as musicians, fans, and everything in between.” He continues, “I’m beyond excited to announce we will be hosting a music festival to benefit HeartSupport and the community! Having the opportunity to host a mission-based music festival with some of my favorite fellow musicians is an absolute dream come true. Our goal with HeartSupport fest is to create a high-energy festival experience that highlights our core values of diversity, acceptance, inclusion, self-love and self-care, and mental health as priority.”

Besides a great day of music on Saturday, VIP ticket holders have Meet and Greet opportunities with Underoath, Parkway Drive, and Dance Gavin Dance, although there is limited availability so arrive early. Signups start at 12:00 PM at the VIP Bag Pickup table. There will also be Teaching Music sessions by The Word Alive vocalist Telle Smith and August Burns Red drummer Matt Greiner which do not require a signup.
