Country’s sibling trio The Buckleys takes on Los Angeles Monday evening at School Night located inside of Avalon Hollywood & Bardot. The number one charting country group from Byron Bay, Australia give Concert Crap an intensive interview. We get a glimpse on who they are and why you should keep your eye out on the next iconic band of all time.
I sat with Sarah, Molly and Lachlan Buckley of The Buckleys. I was elate to be in their company as I was blown away watching their performance earlier that week. They threw an electrifying show in the music epicenter of Capitol Records, Pantages Theatre and Amoeba Records off on Hollywood and Vine. The legendary road carries even more of a renovated future of sound.
Sarah’s tenderhearted yet powerful vocals, Lachlan’s poise position on the double neck guitar and Molly’s statuesque presence on the keyboards remind me of the start of rock and roll with their country roots. They have all of the key ingredients in what a successful music group should be. Their eye-catching essence filled a jammed packed room. They did not skip a beat in between songs, they rocked the house.
It was Wednesday around noon when we gathered together to have an in-person discussion on various topics from influential figures in country music to practical, gleeful pranks with friends. I was intrigued to hear about their musically talented upbringing, what were their inspirations to become one of the top billboard bands in the country and what’s on the itinerary for their California trip. They have extensive plans in store for fans and newcomers. You can watch the full interview here.
