UK band Enter Shikari has made quite a name for themselves over the years by fusing the musical styles of post-hardcore, electronica and dubstep influences. The band is always staying busy whether touring or writing music. With their busy schedule however, they have not toured North America in quite some time and decided to bring “The Mindsweep Tour” to North America and Canada.
The Orange County installment of the tour was definitely a night to remember. This stop was held a the world-renowned, hole-in-the-wall venue, Chain Reaction. Enter Shikari took two bands on this run for support: Los Angeles based The White Noise, and Australian based band Hands Like Houses. This concert in particular featured local support from a band called Alorion.
Enter Shikari definately knows how to give their fans a good time. As if the unique mixture of their music and sound was not enough, the band brought state-of-the-art lighting with them to engulf the venue with mesmerizing lights.
The band played a wide variety of songs from their discography for their fans that night. A lot of the songs from the set came from their most recent album The Mindsweep.
Enter Shikari combines the best of both worlds when it comes to the music that they play. Their concerts are the closest to “moshing at a rave” than any attendee will be able to achieve at any show.
The band is still currently on “The Mindsweep Tour” and will be doing this run for the remainder of May. Catch them on this tour if this tour is stopping in your neck of the woods.
