Emo Rock/Rap Artist nothing, nowhere. Immerses LA in a Night to Remember

The insanely multi-talented indie singer/rapper/emo rocker/producer nothing, nowhere. made his stop in Los Angeles at The Belasco last week. With support from snarls, guccihighwaters, carolesdaughter, and POORSTACY, the entire show was full of sky-high energy. Fans began lining up outside of the venue early on in the day, anticipating the night’s show. Amongst the crowd were people from every subculture you could possibly think of — really proving that genres are no longer a divide.

Wearing a stack of hats from vocalist to instrumentalist to writer/producer and beyond, nothing, nowhere. carries a bottomless bag of surprises for us all. His music is the perfect combination of mid-2000s rock/pop punk blended with modern emo rap and an edge of gritty alternative. He has recorded songs with Travis Barker, Sum 41, Dashboard Confessional, Stand Atlantic, Kenny Hoopla and more. If you’re new to his music, I recommend starting off with “Fake Friend” or “Pieces of You” and by the way, you’re welcome.

The setlist was composed mostly of tracks from his newest album, Trauma Factory. Visual effects and production aspects of the show were also outstanding. The balance of lighting and colors were perfectly in sync, setting the mood for each song. Nothing, nowhere. had an incredible stage presence with the ability to engage the entire room whether singing acoustic with a guitar, opening up a mosh pit, or throwing down a rap to a solid beat. Every song transitioned seamlessly while he spoke to the crowd, creating a very bonded environment. With a very heavy heart, he announced mid-performance that his grandfather had passed away that same day. We all could feel the love and support pouring from each other. Nothing, nowhere. powered through an amazing set, leaving us on a natural high for the remainder of the night.
