Dear Spring has announced their signing to Open Your Ears Records.  Simultaneous to the announcement, they also released their debut single and video, “Every Now And Then”, for the label.  The Washington, DC post pop-punk quartet is comprised of David Colon-Margolies (vocals, guitar), Martin MacAlister (drums), Jonah Tenney (vocals), and Kamran Hassan (guitar, vocals).

Discussing the song the band says, “‘Every Now And Then‘ comes from two voices. One reaches to the past wondering what could have been; the other presses to get over what has been for anything better. Dave was inspired by a time of great change in his life when we wrote the first verse of the song. From there, it was the first song that we completed and truly where Dear Spring found the sound of the next era for our band. When it came time to complete the lyrics for the song, Jonah filled in the second voice, speaking from a fear of repeating past mistakes with learned perseverance. This song embodies the conversation between the two voices. The music video for ‘Every Now And Then‘ is our love letter to the Washington D.C. music scene, spotlighting the music venues that mean the most to us and showcasing our hometown. We’re all excited to be announcing our signing to Open Your Ears Records with this release.”

“Every Now and Then” can be streamed here.
