It’s safe to say that it’s hard to find a good hard rock band. So many of them veer on the verge of heavy metal, or rely too much on heavy guitar riffs. Fall 2 Rise is one of the good ones.
The El Paso, Texas based band formed in 2013. Fall 2 Rise takes inspiration from bands like Alter Bridge, Breaking Benjamin, and Sevendust, which is evident in their music. They veer towards the melodic side of hard rock, which makes their music appeal to a broader range of fans, rather than just fans who are into hardcore music and lyrics. The band also has a distinct southwestern sound; all of these elements combine perfectly to create Fall 2 Rise’s sound.
The band at first consisted of drummer Mikey Stampede, bassist Jason Corral, guitarist Uli de la Fuente, and vocalist/guitarist Daniel Kimmelman. On February 8, 2017, Kimmelman posted on his Instagram page that he was leaving the band to pursue a different path; the band reposted the announcement on their Instagram. Later that day, the two new members were announced: guitarist Mark Ramos and vocalist Lincoln Gier.
Fall 2 Rise has released 2 EP’s. The first, The Starting Line was released January 24, 2015 and the second, Breach the Horizon, released March 18, 2016. Both EP’s were released with the four-member band. Fall 2 Rise has promised that they will be releasing new music soon with the new five-member band. While fans wait eagerly for the new music, one thing’s for sure: this is a band you need to know.
