What’s up Concert Crap! It’s been awhile since my last “An Artist I Just Got Into” article, so let’s get back into it!
Recently I have discovered loads of new music through friends and shared Spotify playlists. The most recent band that I’ve gotten into is a group called Hot Mulligan. Hot Mulligan is an incredibly upbeat alt rock/pop-punk band that makes you want to get up on your feet and dance. I discovered Hot Mulligan a couple of weeks ago while at a friend’s house.
The song “Featuring Mark Hoppus” (which doesn’t actually feature Mark Hoppus) was blasting through the speakers and I was immediately pulled in by the strong distinctive vocals of lead singer Nathan Sanville and the fun guitar parts throughout the chorus of the song. The band recently released a 5 song EP on May 28, which includes the song “Featuring Mark Hoppus”. The album is most definitely worth a listen, but my personal favorite is their 2020 full-length titled ‘You’ll Be Fine’. If you’re going to start anywhere with Hot Mulligan, start with their song “*Equip Sunglasses*”.
I promise you you’ll be hooked from the opening lines. It is the definition of a jam song and I frequent the song every day at the gym.
10/10 recommend.
