The Interrupters Celebrate Their Homecoming With Sold Out Show at the Wiltern

At the glorious intersection of ska and punk, you will find The Interrupters — an LA based band that has been going for over a decade. The band consists of vocalist Aimee Allen, her husband, Kevin Bivona, and his twin brothers, Jesse and Justin Bivona. They stopped in Los Angeles to play a sold out show just before wrapping their spring tour in Anaheim the following night.

Greeted with roaring hometown support, the band kicked off their set with “Take Back the Power” — one of their most played songs packed with catchy, bouncy ska lines and a punchy chorus. Over half of the songs were from their self-titled record, The Interrupters and newest album, In The Wild. The crowd showed love to all eras of the tracks played, filling the room with a radiating excitement. Aimee’s charming yet tough-as-nails attitude serves up a sweet blend for a frontwoman. The members effortlessly bounce the perfect amount of energy off one another, creating a genuinely connected group. As predicted, the band closed out the night with their smash hit, “She’s Kerosene” and absolutely lit the venue up… no pun intended!
