Song Review: The Plot In You – “DISPOSABLE FIX”

The Plot In You is a band you need to know but I am here to discuss the track I am stuck on. It is called “DISPOSABLE FIX.” One hazy afternoon, I had a concert craving and decided to put on a playlist called “Stick to Your Guns Radio” on Spotify. I let the music play as I was working on a project until The Plot In You stopped me in my tracks.

The lyrics were hard-hitting off the bat. I was drawn to singer Landon Tewers’ wide range from a symphonic mood to heavy roars. When I listened to “DISPOSABLE FIX” for the first time, there was no way I thought this song had a heavy side to it. It seem as if it was going to one of those songs to slow dance to. It gave me some type of gut wrench feeling within the first two minutes. However, it takes an unpredictable turn when you hear Landon’s screaming along with the low, electronic base in the background.

Who is The Plot In You? They are a proclaimed metalcore band with melodic elements. They originated from Hancock County, Ohio in 2010 with former members of Before Their Eyes, MyChildren MyBride and Like Moth to Flames. If you are fans of The Word Alive, Arcade Fire and Dayseeker, you are in the right place. You can listen to “DISPOSABLE FIX” here and watch the video below.
