Manhattan’s rock pioneers Interpol debuted three tracks off their newly released album, The Other Side of Make-Believe. I got a chance to listen to it in entirety after having a conversation with fellow music enthusiast, TikToker Jacob Givens, so shout out for his participation on this review.

The topic started on his live feed when I asked if he got a chance to listen to the new Interpol song. I wasn’t descriptive as I meant the song, “Toni.” It was both of our first time hearing “Fables” so we got to capture our reactions when he played the track.

“Fables” gives us an update on their current sound that’s influenced with a modern tone but the same Interpol concept. This is by far my favorite single off of their 2022 album. I see their tremendous return to Interpol since Marauder in 2018. They just performed at Just Like Heaven festival, which fans raved about how much they kick ass to see live and they are currently on tour. They have a huge year ahead of them so check them out them when they hit your city and definitely give their new record a spin! Pre-order here.
