Photos l Review: Prog Rock Invades Pomona with Polyphia and More

Dallas, Texas progressive rock band Polyphia recently invaded the Inland Empire bring with them their intricate blend of instrumental music for the City of Pomona to hear. The band is currently touring in support of their third major release entitled “New Levels New Devils” which was released with the support of Equal Vision Records.

Polyphia Tour in Support of New Album

Polyphia rocked the stage of The Glass House with a setlist that comprised of new songs from their new album entitled “New Levels New Devils” as well as some more seasoned songs from the band’s previous two releases.

With technical precision and the support of progressive rock bands Hail the Sun and Covet, Polyphia put on a show that was an absolute marvel.

Covet has made quite a name for themselves in the past few years. Frontwoman and lead guitarist Yvette Young has become an Internet viral sensation with self-produced videos that show the musician’s mastery of her instrument as well as her “tapping” technique.

Hail the Sun also has resonated with many progressive fans with their recent tour with Circa Survive and now their current tour with Polyphia. Vocalist/drummer Donovan Melero is also known for singing in the supergroup Sianvar which is comprised of members from Dance Gavin Dance, A Lot Like Birds, and more.

Both bands provided for excellent support for Polyphia’s current headlining tour and got the crowd hyped up for the headlining act.
