Photos / Review: Sevendust’s 20th Anniversary Show at the Worcester Palladium

Who: 20th Anniversary Tour: Sevendust, He is Legend, Never Your Zero, Fathom Farewell

Where: The Palladium, Worcester, Massachusetts

When: June 25, 2017

On June 25, 2017, the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts, hosted the fifth and final show of Sevendust’s special 20th anniversary tour, performing their debut album in its entirety.

I can honestly say that I have never seen such a long line for a show at the Palladium an hour before doors.

First band up was Fathom Farewell, who were on as local support. Their five song set was super energetic. The crowd loved them and they did justice to the extremely packed room that was waiting for Sevendust. After Fathom Farewell came on Never Your Zero. Their set was a little bit longer, but no less energetic. They had great power and a strong presence. The final band before Sevendust was He Is Legend, who were dominating the room. They had the longest set of the three bands and used their time really well. There was a lot of hip shaking and weird dance moves, but I was digging it and so was the crowd. The guys in that band also had some of the most luscious heads of hair I’ve ever seen, so they get bonus points for that.

By the time He Is Legend finished up their set, the crowd was screaming for Sevendust to get on stage. One man in the audience got on someone’s shoulders and started a “Sevendust” chant that held on pretty much until they got on stage. And let me tell you, as soon as they got on stage, it. Was. EPIC. The energy was extremely high; every single person in that audience was singing along. Everybody in Sevendust is an extremely talented musician in their own right; seeing them all perform together was pure magic and made the night one to remember. I don’t know how, but they managed to interact with every last person in the crowd all the way to the back of the room. This was my first time seeing Sevendust, but I absolutely want to see them live again. The show was absolutely amazing and definitely one for the history books.
