Who: Can Cowboys Cry Tour – Harry Hudson, Jaden Smith

Harry Hudson is an enthusiastic artist that mixes the genres of rock, folk, pop and rap music. He is also an artist with an incredible story. Now age 25, he battled a health crisis just a few years prior when he was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 20. He successfully fought and is now a cancer survivor. After moving to New York with Jaden Smith, he worked on a variety of singles, EP’s, and his film “Can Cowboy’s Cry” before signing and releasing his debut album Yesterday’s Tomorrow Night with the label MSFTS/RocNation. As an artist, he strives to touch and inspire every person with his music, film, and other art.

Harry Hudson stormed the stage in his signature red hat, and to his dismay experienced technical difficulties. To buy time while his crew fixed the issue, he walked back and forth across the stage to reach out toward, speak and interact with his fans. Once his microphone was functioning, Hudson took off and his high energy show was on full display. Hudson takes command of his stage and his audience and captivates every person in the room. Through dance moves, hand gestures, eye contact and reaching out to touch everyone within reach he ensures he has the attention of every person in the room. His audience soared and sang along with him, and many were holding and handing him yellow roses (after his song “The Legend of the Yellow Rose”). Harry promised to deliver a show and experience, a night that everyone would remember, and he did just that for the audience. As the first night of his first headlining tour, this was a night that will always remain with even Harry Hudson.

Harry Hudson in his tour promotion had been hyping the opening date of his show, and telling his fans he would be bringing a surprise guest with him. Near the end of his set, he paused to talk about one person in his life who always believed in his music and never stopped supporting his vision. Jaden Smith came running out onto the Hawthorne Theater stage in Portland, and the two performed Smith’s song “Icon” together. The theater roared as Jaden came out to the stage, and sang the song in unison with the duo. Harry and Jaden performed and debuted a new song “Just Slide” together, and a studio version was released a few days after.

After already playing music festivals such as Life is Beautiful, Grandoozy and Rise, and showing early success on his first headlining tour, Harry Hudson is an artist on the rise. With a dedication for his craft, and a growing fanbase supporting him, it’s a matter of time before he reaches the ranks of his inspirations. He’s an artist to watch, and an artist to support for many reasons aside from his music.
