Who: In Hearts Wake, Fit For A King, Like Moths to Flames, Phinehas
Where: Chain Reaction, Anaheim, California
When: December 6, 2017
Texas-based metalcore band Fit For A King played a set so loud and energetic at Anaheim’s very own Chain Reaction that the music from the show could be probably be heard a couple miles down the road at Disneyland.
Exaggerations aside, Fit For A King did in fact “bring the noise” at the band’s first ever co-headlining gig at the world famous Orange County music venue. The band share the stage with the critically acclaimed Australian metalcore band, In Hearts Wake.
Fit For A King drew the largest crowd the night of their co-headliner as well as arguably the most crowd surfers and crowd participation in general.
The band played a stack setlist comprised of songs that spanned throughout their entire discography including “Warpath” and “Deathgrip.”
That is not to saw In Hearts Wake’s performance was anything less than a spectacle. The band put on an energetic and intimate which featured professional lighting, stage risers and frontman Jake Taylor’s covenanted crowd surf on an inflatable device during their performance of their song “Survive.”
The support for this tour, Like Moths to Flame and Phinehas, were a perfect fit for this tour package and kept the crowd pumped throughout the night.
Like Moths to Flames toured in support of their latest album “Dark Divine” and played songs off the album accordingly. The same could be said for Phinehas as their latest album, “Dark Flag,” recently debut as well with critical acclaim.
Overall, this tour package was nothing short of phenomenal. Fans got their money’s worth and more when these bands showed the world that metalcore is still alive and kicking.
