Over the past year, Billie Eilish has been generating hype following her tours around the world. Eilish is already proving to be worth the hype, as her current tour (the 1 by 1 Tour) sold out each show – some within a matter of hours. Billie Eilish is one of the fastest rising artists in recent times, has obvious talent, but the most impressive aspect of the artist is the energy she gives and love she returns for her growing fanbase.
As her popularity and the venues Billie Eilish performs at, grows she’s able to continuously add pieces to her performance and turn it into an experience. Eilish recently had been joined onstage by a full band backing her, and this tour added another set-piece – a large glowing spider. The addition of the large spider combined with the strobes and lighting of the set added to her performance visually, along with the remixed interludes of songs such as The Office’s theme and the Mii theme from Nintendo’s Wii – which Eilish danced along to. This performance was among the most high energy shows ever witnessed. Billie Eilish’s presence is so powerful, and her onstage energy is contagious. Fans on the floor sang along with every song and screamed as Eilish walked past and reached out toward them.
When witnessing Billie Eilish’s talent, and the natural onstage presence she has, it’s easy to forget how young she is and how early on in her career she’s in. Billie Eilish leaves her fingerprint and a piece of her in each city she visits, and it’s only a matter of time before she’s headlining each of those city’s largest venue. With only her EP don’t smile at me, and a handful of other singles out, it’s amazing to see the impact and success she’s been able to have. Music fans always have an insatiable hunger for artists releases, but the hype and wait for a debut album from Billie Eilish is different. She continues to improve and evolve both her sound and craft and with each release proves to be one of the most exciting and influential artists in the music scene today.
