The Aces

Indie pop quartet, The Aces, have made a name for themselves in the past year alone. After coming off of a tour with 5 Seconds of Summer and touring to support their debut release, When My Heart Felt Volcanic, 2018 was a major year for The Aces. It seems like 2019 will be an even greater year for the band with many of their headlining dates selling out halfway through the tour.

Joan Sets the Stage for The Aces

Support for the Anaheim date of the tour, and for the first half of the tour featured the indie pop/rock band, Joan.

Joan is a fairly new band to the scene, however, that may not be the case a couple months from now. Their creative blend of nostalgic synth and clean, chorus-driven guitar tones will take the listener back to the late 80s’/early 90s’.

Songs such as “Tokyo” and “Love Somebody Like You” had the crowd dancing the night away until it was time for The Aces to take the stage.

The Aces made a grand, dramatic entrance to the stage by blacking out all the lights followed by a mysterious tone of blue lighting. The crowd did not hesitate to show their love and appreciation to the band as soon as the band found their way to the stage.

Frontwoman Cristal Ramirez took the show to the crowd by making her way across the stage, on top of stage monitors and in right into the crowd by the barrier. Not only did the crowd enjoy themselves, but it also seems like the band was having the time of their lives by dancing to their own music during the instrumental interludes.

The band played a full set comprised of many songs from their ever grown discography. The Aces concluded their set with an encore comprised of the songs “Hurricane” and “Stuck.”

What Is Next For The Aces?

It is still in the air what The Aces plan on doing after their headlining dates. However, if you plan on seeing The Aces of this headlining run, act fast. The band is halfway through this tour and many of the remaining dates have sold out already. For those who have purchased their tickets already, prepare for a stellar show!
