Review: Afterlife Release New Album, ‘Part Of Me’

On August 13th, Afterlife released their new album, Part Of Me. You can watch the music video for Envy here, a heavier song with a certain darkness flowing through it. Many songs sound instantly familiar to me, like “Wasting Time” and the title track, “Part Of Me.” This is a pretty fast-paced record that still slows down for a some moments, such as in the slower song, “Miles Away.” After that track, I love the smooth transition to the following, heavier one, “Pure.” You can definitely hear various musical influences embedded in these songs, with certain tracks giving off Linkin Park and Hollywood Undead vibes.

Part Of Me is a hard-hitting album that rarely lets up. My favorites that I’d recommend checking out are “Not Giving It Up,” “Miles Away,” and “Burn It Down.” Be sure to check out the album here.
