CC: How has your 2016 been so far now that we’re just about halfway done? What were some of the highlights?

MB: 2016 has been amazing, thanks man. We had an incredible start to the year. By March we had already toured in 17 different countries! Some of the highlights would be the Shiprocked Cruise, going to Europe, and touring the US with Sevendust.

CC: You guys have played a lot of acoustic shows recently. Do you prefer acoustic or electric shows? Which do you think the fans connect with more?

MB: We’re a heavier band, but we’ve always been into playing unplugged as well. It gives you the chance to re-imagine your songs in a totally different style, and it really brings the lyrics and the melodies to the forefront. The rock shows and the acoustic shows are very different, but our fans are amazing and really enjoy both.

CC: What can fans expect from the “DidgeriVoodoo” tour?

MB: This will be our last U.S Headline Tour before we head into the studio to make our new record, so we’re really stoked about it! Fans can expect didgeridoo, heavy riffs and good time! [It’s] an awesome way to finish up touring Awaken the Fire.

CC: This is also your last tour until 2017, what will you guys be working on for the rest of the year? Can we expect a new album or EP next year?

MB: We’re heading into the studio after our “DidgeriVoodoo” Tour, and we can’t wait to get this new music out there! We’ve been so inspired lately, man. You can definitely expect a new record next year, and there may even be a new song out before then!

CC: What can we expect from the new album/EP that is new and different?

MB: We’ve always tried to incorporate new styles and influences into our music. So our new album will definitely sound like Like A Storm, but we’ll also be pushing ourselves further musically and lyrically. We’re really excited about it.

CC: Are there any last words you’d like to say or anything to any of your fans who may be reading this interview?

MB: Absolutely… A huge thank you to all of our fans all over the world! We wouldn’t be here without you guys, thank you so much for allowing us to do what we love and play for you every night. Can’t wait to show you this new music!
