L.S. Dunes Sells Out Another Garden Grove’s Garden Amphitheatre!

L.S. Dunes played the final night of their summer headlining tour at Garden Grove’s one-and-only Garden Amphitheatre on August 11, 2023. The post-hardcore supergroup is made up of members Anthony Green(original lead singer from the bands Circa Survive, Saosin and The Sound of Animals Fighting), Guitarist Frank Iero (guitarist of My Chemical Romance), Travis Stever, (guitarist originally from Coheed and Cambria), Tim Payne (bass player from Coheed and Cambria), and Tucker Rule (drummer from the band Thursday). The mix of these extremely talented and longtime members of the music scene had fans cheering, moshing, and singing for the entire show. Garden Amphitheatre has officially announced Anthony Green the “Taylor Swift of Garden Amp” to celebrate the most sold-out shows of the history of Garden Amphitheatre from the years 2018-2023.

Being a new band in the scene, L.S. Dunes does not have a heavy roster of songs to pull from, but they sure put on an electrifying show. The supergroup played every song from their 2022 album, Past Lives, their 2023 single “Benadryl Subreddit”, and also threw in a cover by The Police, “Wrapped Around Your Finger”. Fans were in for a surprise when mid-set, the band announced the release date for their next single coming Friday, August 25^th with a track titled “Old Wounds”. The crowd roared with excitement!

We must not forget to mention the Baltimore-based band, and woman front led, Pinkshift. Established in 2020, they opened the show to an already packed house and lead singer, Ashrita Kumar’s crowd control kept the audience energized and prepped for a memorable night. Their sound is a mix of 90s grunge, emo and pop punk.

The fans packed the venue and kept the night filled with action. L.S. Dunes kept them moshing and crowd surfing to every song. The passion for the music filled their faces until the last song. This night will definitely go under the “Top Show List” for Garden Amphitheatre.
