Iris Pope Releases Evocative New Track "Far From Holy"

When you listen to as much music as I do, it’s easy to get caught up in it. By that I mean, you’re hit with so much new music on such a regular basis that finding a diamond in the rough can feel impossible. It can feel like, while there’s a lot of great music, that you’re rarely discovering something that feels….different. Extraordinary even.

For me, that has been Iris Pope.

A debut artist in the truest sense of the word, “Far From Holy” is just her second release (ever!) following the summer single “I Like Us Better.” It’s a powerful anthem, an ode to “the amazing women who refuse to do as they’re told and laugh in the face of everything they are told to be” as Pope says.

Coming off her upcoming October 27th album Awakening, “Far From Holy” is an infectious anthem filled with major Kate Bush and Florence and the Machine vibes, and with plenty of attitude to boot.

“This one goes out to everyone else who read Paradise Lost and took away the wrong message. Far From Holy is about loving someone for being as destructive and awe inducing as they always are,” adds Pope.
