Interview: Soldiers of a Wrong War talks new album, touring Italy, and more

Shape the Light - Servizio

Concert Crap: You guys recently released your first full-length album Countdowns on April 18. What is it like knowing that people are actually listening to what you’ve worked so hard on?

Adin Sulic: It feels absolutely great, we couldn’t wait to have the chance to share this brand new album with the whole world and now that it’s here we’re super pumped about it. We already had the chance to check out some reviews, we heard our fans’ reactions and their feedback has been really amazing so far.

CC: You’re touring Italy right now as part of your Countdowns release tour. What’s something that’s happened to you on tour that you never thought would happen to you?

AS: When we’re on tour we’re always loaded at the highest levels possible and every night there’s something going on so if you’re talking about strange things, welcome to the jungle. But the best thing to say is what happens in the backstage, stays in the backstage. You gotta be there and live that moment ’cause if we start to write about the crazy things we did or happened to us, this interview could easily turn into a book.

CC: If you could build your dream tour, what bands would be on the tour and where would you perform?

AS: I think that if we could have the chance to do a dream tour it’d definitely be something like a world wide tour with Metallica, Foo Fighters and Muse.

CC: What are you listening to right now?

AS: Lately, we’re listening a lot to bands like Royal Blood, Highly Suspect, The Neighborhood, Arctic Monkeys, Nothing But Thieves, Don Broco. And also hip-hop artists like Berner, Ty Dolla Sign, MGK and G-Eazy.

CC: What can we look forward to seeing next from you guys?

AS: A lot of rock ‘n’ roll music, fresh new songs and as many tours as possible. We’re working really hard on this band which we started back in 2007, so this year we’re turning 10 and it’s only the beginning. We know what we want, we’re determined and we’re ready take this project to a whole another level!

CC: Is there anything else you’d like to add to this interview?

AS: Thank you guys for giving us some space on your website. And for all of you out there who are looking for some new saucy rock ‘n’ roll music to listen to, go check out our brand new album Countdowns, right now here! And don’t be selfish, tell all your friends about it.
