Concert Crap: Can you talk about a brief history of the band?
Will Andrews: In some way or another, we poached each other from various bands in Seattle that we admired. We were friends before we became band mates, and we all saw qualities in each other that we thought would work well in a collective.
CC: What does your band name mean?
WA: It’s a lyric we took from an old song, and it was the debut album title from a previous incarnation of this band with 75% of the same personnel.
CC: Who are some of your musical inspirations?
WA: Some would be Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Killing Joke, King Crimson, Dan Auerbach, and The Beatles.
CC: Who would you like to tour with realistically and un realistically?
WA: Realistically, we’d like to tour…period, which is on it’s way to becoming a reality. Unrealistically, any one of the bands mentioned above that still exist.
CC: What does the rest of 2017 have in store for you guys?
WA: Writing and recording a new record, and touring the west coast of the United States. We’re also in talks to play some big shows/festivals and do some pretty special things.
CC: Is there anything else you’d like to say to your fans or anyone that may be reading this interview at all?
WA: Check out our debut album The Gross at http://tenmileswide.bandcamp.com, find us on social media and give us a listen. The download is currently free. Thanks for reading!
