Have Mercy Releases Single and Announces Upcoming EP

Have Mercy

Have Mercy is set to release their new EP Have Mercy on August 26th. This will be the first new music from the Baltimore rock band since 2019’s The Love Life. In advance of the album, the band recently released the lead single “I’m Gonna Be OK”.

After a decade together, Have Mercy decided to call it quits in 2019. However, their farewell tour in 2020 was cut short due to the Covid pandemic. This abrupt and unexpected halt prevented the closure the band had planned. The break found front man and vocalist Brian Swindle writing and recording solo material. One song was “I’ll Wait” which he thought was more suited for Have Mercy. This led to some calls and an eventual reunion of the band for the new EP.

Speaking about “I’m Gonna Be OK” vocalist Swindle says “When we wrote this song, I realized that it summarized my entire life as of late. I met the love of my life and wanted to move forward with her but couldn’t until I took care of my issues. I had to get sober, get my mental health in check and just do better. This song was a reflection of all of that.

Have Mercy, the band’s new self-titled EP is set to be released on August 26th via ZODHIAC Records. To pre-save the EP, please visit https://orcd.co/havemercy.
