Foals Headlines to a Packed Los Angeles Crowd!

British band, Foals crossed the pond to headline at the Belasco Theater for an unforgettable show in Los Angeles, California.

Per the band’s request, they asked for photographers to capture their three-song encore to highlight them at their highest level of performance. As my fellow concert photographers know, bands typically prefer to photograph the first three songs of their set before they have broken a sweat and while they are still looking fresh. With that said, Foals’ encore was filled with as much energy and emotion as the rest of the set.

Throughout the show, fans waved their hands, moshed, danced and sang to every song on the Foals’ setlist. They performed songs from various albums as far back as their first album released in 2008, Antidotes, and their newest album released in 2022, Life Is Yours.

During the encore song “What Went Down”, lead singer Yannis Philippakis, stepped off the stage to stand on the front row barricade to hold hands and sing with his beloved fans. Closing out the night with “Two Steps, Twice”, Yannis and drummer, Jack Bevan, shared a moment on stage where Yannis moved from the front of the stage to the back and stood on the drum kit to rock out with his fellow bandmate. It provided a high-energy and amazing conclusion to the show that left fans wanting more. At the end of the show, Jack left his drum kit to give fans his drumsticks while guitarist, Jimmy Smith handed out setlists.

The band’s schedule is packed with dates for the remainder of 2023 including supporting Paramore’s arena tour. Catch them while on tour in your nearest city!
