For those that don’t know your band, who is DOSE and what are you guys all about?
DOSE is Jimmy and Timmy Brown. Two brothers that grew up in the punk rock/pop-punk scene in Southern California that LOVE all types of music & love people.
What do you guys do when you’re not creating music?
We both work and take care of our Dad, who just turned 81!!!! He also goes on tour with us!!!
Who are some of your idols and biggest musical influences?
Growing up my 1st cassette tape was NWA. So hip hop has always been a big influence for us. Blink 182, Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Strung Out, its a very long diverse list.
What inspires you guys to play? Details, please!
These days is all about reaching the lost youth & shifting the culture in a positive way.
What moment sticks out the most that you were closest to quitting music and didn’t? Why
When our guitar player Steve passed away.
Who is your current drummer?
Who are some artists you guys have been listening to lately?
Nipsey Hussle. Roddy Rich. Black bear.
Who are some of your favorite artists you’ve ever worked or played with?
Our producer and one of the most talented people we know, Rich Zahniser. We Loved our last tour with Assuming We Survive. Finch, Jimmy Eat World, The Used, P.O.D., Reel Big Fish. Too many rad people to name.
Are we going to get any new music soon?
As soon as we can get it to you. The last 3 years have been incredibly difficult for my brother and me in our personal life, God’s been giving us some RAD stuff to write about!!!! It’s coming. WE PROMISE!
What is one song from your past that you would like to remix into your new style?
We don’t want to remix any other songs. We kinda feel like the old stuff should stay where it’s at.
What is your next show/tour?
Nothing scheduled at the moment, please keep us in your prayers for God to bless us with an opportunity.
