On the rise rocker DIAMANTE has roots from all over – with her Mexican-Italian-American background, she has been climbing her way up the rock-n-roll ladder. After releasing her album American Dream last year, she has re-recorded one of her most popular tracks, “Unlovable,” fully in Spanish. “Difícil De Amar” has gained attention from around the world, bringing together Spanish linguistics and smooth rock ballads. DIAMANTE was flooded with requests to record an alternate version for her Latin fans – and she certainly did not disappoint. We had the pleasuring of chatting with her about her journey to stardom and what is in store for the future.

From an early age, DIAMANTE has been inspired by many artists of varying genres. Around the age of 8 or 9, she recalls discovering her true calling to sing. She tells us of the memories she has of her father taking her to the music section at Borders – where she often chose records sometimes solely based on the album artwork, but soon discovered so much more. Avril Lavigne’s Let Go was the first album she picked up – followed by influential, female powerhouse musicians such as Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Paramore. At the age of 13, she enrolled in her first School of Rock bootcamp. Here, she was introduced to classic rock artists like Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks and Debbie Harry, where her rock-n-roll flare flourished. She combed the Sunset Strip throughout her teens, which helped mold her into the artist she has grown to become.

DIAMANTE’s powerful yet suave voice serves as the perfect touch to just about any song, whether an original or remake. She says she would love to cover Lady Gaga in the future as well as other male-fronted songs. Her ability to reinvent male-led vocals as her own while still honoring the original song shines beautifully in her cover of “Iris” originally by the Goo Goo Dolls – which features Breaking Benjamin as well. DIAMANTE has become great friends with Breaking Benjamin after touring with them in the past on several occasions. She will be reuniting with them and many others performing at the Welcome To Rockville festival May 20th, 2022 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

SoCal music lovers can catch DIAMANTE in Anaheim at Chain Reaction (March 29th) and West Hollywood at The Viper Room (March 30th) for her final two shows on the American Dream tour, rescheduled from last month. From there, she will be heading out on The Revolution’s Live tour with Shinedown and The Pretty Reckless – bands she both grew up listening to, which makes the experience truly full circle. Check back later this week for a recap and photo gallery from DIAMANTE’s show at The Viper Room this Wednesday.
