Concert Crap: On Facebook it says your music genre is “Runk Punk Metal”. Can you explanin that to those that may not understand that?
Siren Sycho: It’s just funny thing we came up with. We cross genres between punk and metal, the “Runk” just sounded good at the time.
CC: Your new album, Vol. 2, was just released, how proud are you of this?
SS: Very Proud
CC: What are some of your favorite moments when creating it?
SS: We did the album proper this time, the first one was very garage and bedroom style. Vol. 2 was planned a lot better. We had time to get the songs right, layer the tones musically within the song. That was the best bit, really creating the songs to the best that they could be.
CC: What area(s) or venue(s) are you hoping to visit to support this release?
SS: Wembley Arena or Stadium, Coachella, Glastonbury – the usual low key places.
CC: Your video for “Kids” is just a very, very slow redering of kids running from something that is unseen. Can you explain what they are running from or to and why you decided to go in this direction for the video?
SS: The video shows a bunch of kids running away from a place of worship. Without spelling it out, organised religion was created to control people and is based on a foundation of fear. Bottom line, it’s child abuse.
CC: Being a band from the UK, do you feel that you are at an advantage or disadvantage in the music industry?
SS: I guess we have more of an advantage than some countries. I hear the scene and the crowds are better in Europe though and America would be great to tour around but that all comes at a pricey cost.
CC: What would you tell other male or female musicians to do to follow in your footsteps to achieve a career in music?
SS: Don’t compromise.
CC: Is there anything else you’d like to say to your fans or anyone viewing this interview right now?
SS: Go buy our new album. Come watch us play. Be awesome to one another.
