Chiiild’s Tour Might Be Your Antidote

Soul artist, Chiiild, started his Better Luck in the Next Life tour at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana on Thursday night with a special guest, Isaia Huron. The room was filled with anticipation by the fans awaiting music from Chiiild’s new album.

To start off the show, Isaia Huron interacted with the crowd with a cover of Miguel’s song “Adorn.” Following the start of his set, Isaia went through songs that the crowd loved and swayed to, which made the show enjoyable, and the anticipation continued.

After the opener, Chiiild’s crew started the light strobes which was an exhilarating experience to allow the fans to know what’s in store for the rest of the night. While waiting for Chiiild’s performance, a fan came up to me and told me they were really looking forward to him coming out because of his new album and how he would be one of the first to hear it live.

Chiiild started off his set by bringing out Lauren Lyon and Pierre-Luc Rioux to begin the long-awaited performance. The dreamy lights and crisp fog allowed the audience to feel a part of an ethereal experience. With his iconic hairstyle, he started his performance and excited everyone with his outstanding setlist. Starting off with a bang and ending with people wanting more! The performances and lights joining it, made the entire experience of this show exciting and riveting. At the end of the show, I asked another fan which song she enjoyed listening to live and she said “Weightless.” She said, “After I saw his Vevo performance of it, I’ve been wanting to see it live and he didn’t disappoint.” Clearly Chiiild left an impression on her and other fans.
