Casey Cavaliere Debuts Season Two of The Record Process Podcast

The Wonder Years guitarist and producer Casey Cavaliere has joined the ranks of musicians like Mark Hoppus and Chris DeMakes who have jumped into the world of podcasting. The Record Process is a weekly podcast hosted by Cavaliere and True Level Studio partners Tom Conran (Audio Engineer / Producer) and Adam Ackerman (Songwriter / Multi-Instrumentalist) who discuss and provide insights into the creative process of recording in the studio and at home.

Season One of the podcast debuted in March 2021. It included topics such as where to find inspiration for songs, pros and cons of home studios, how to capture and mix music, and how to get your music out into the world. Season Two which is currently underway shares experiences of musicians such Derek Sanders (Mayday Parade), Adam Lazarra (Taking Back Sunday), Dan Campell (The Wonder Years), and others.

In the latest episode (click here to listen), producer and mixing engineer Vince Ratti joins Cavaliere and Conran to the recording process for the The Wonder Years’ breakthrough album, The Upsides. The group discuss the DIY nature of the album, facing burnout as a freelance producer / engineer, and how the album impacted Ratti and the band’s career.
