Album Review: Ten Cents Short – “Major Steps, Minor Setbacks” EP

IMG_5461

If you have trouble finding really good pop-punk bands, check out Ten Cents Short. Their EP Major Steps, Minor Setbacks is perfect for you! The vocals on this album are pretty much the epitome of what you want your pop-punk singer to sound like. Musically, this album is everything you could want it to be, filled with meaningful lyrics and great guitar riffs.

Take “Make It” for example: the lyrics are so relatable and that beat is insane. This is a song you’ll immediately find yourself singing along with and bopping your head in time with the music. “Setback”, too, is a song that you’ll be singing over and over again. Be prepared to just sing all of these songs forever because they’re so catchy, they’re going to be stuck in your head for a VERY long time.

Even if you’re not into pop-punk, this band is a great introduction into the genre. All of the songs have a great beat and are easy to sing along with. Ten Cents Short has a great sophomore album on their hands with Major Steps, Minor Setbacks out now.
