San Cisco’s The Water is a really fun album. “Kids Are Cool” is a great song; the beat will make your toes tap automatically. “That Boy” has some great harmonies. “Waiting For The Weekend” is one of the most relatable songs ever written, accompanied by a great “wah wah.” “SloMo” is one of the best songs on this album, complete with a strong beat. All of the songs on The Water will keep you up until 2 a.m. in the morning dancing; your neighbors will be banging on your doors begging to join the party.
This entire album is actually a great example for the 21st century version of disco. It mixes the classic disco sound with elements of modern pop, as well as taking a little bit from a bunch of other genres. By combining elements of multiple generations and genres of music into one sound, San Cisco is not only repopularizing disco, but exemplifies the new, modern sound of the genre in The Water.
