Late Night Fights’ new album Renal 911 is a blend of grunge, hard rock, and greatness. “Prison” is one of the best songs on this album; with a great hook, superb guitar, and beautiful lyrics, it begs to be heard. For another great song on this album, check out “In Your Hands.” It has one of the most amazing song openings on the album, along with top-notch lyrics. Something really interesting about this song is that it’s not really conventional; at first, it almost seems like the music is disconnected from the lyrics, but what actually ends up happening is certain lyrics are highlighted more than others, which creates a storytelling effect. Plus the music is SO good in this song.

This album was recorded differently from most; they kept full takes and recorded without a click and you can hear the difference: it feels very organic. It also has an intro and three interludes, which was off-putting at first. Once you listen to the album all the way through a few times, though, the interludes aren’t weird; rather, they add to the entire feeling that this album was trying to evoke. Renal 911 is real and genuine. Late Night Fights have a great album on their hands.
