Album Review: God Dethroned – “The World Ablaze”

God Dethroned - The World Ablaze

God Dethroned is back with the release of their new album The World Ablaze. This release is the example for good death metal. There’s a lot of guitar throughout the album, some great, strong vocals, and really good drums and bass. It’s not really what you would expect from a death metal album and it has to do with the instrumentation. So many death metal bands forget about the instrumentation; God Dethroned hasn’t, which makes The World Ablaze really unique and really good. Even if you’re not a fan of those heavy vocals, you’ll find something to like in this album whether it be the amazing guitar work, the strong drums, the perfect bass, or even all of it together.

Some of the best songs on The World Ablaze are the ones that, like “Annihilation Crusade,” strike the perfect balance between the vocals and the instruments. “On the Wrong Side of the Wire” is another great one on the album. “Close to Victory” has some really great drums in it that you’ll definitely want to check out. “K?nigsberg” is an interesting song that is one of the best on the album.

Whether or not you like death metal, The World Ablaze is an album you’ll want to check out if you’re a music lover, because it is executed really well.
