Album Review: Diamante – “Coming in Hot”

Diamante’s debut album Coming In Hot is a fun, high-energy rock album. Each track on this album is designed to worm its way into your head and stay there. Title track “Coming In Hot” starts the album off on the right foot with a strong beat, impressive guitar, and a chorus that you can start singing along with almost immediately. “F.L.A.G.” is another impressive track with an even more addicting chorus. The song is empowering, while also being a lot of fun to sing along with. “Sleepwalking” starts off a bit differently because of the keys; it also has some softer moments during the lyrics, while the chorus brings that intensity back. “Black Heart” is probably going to be an underrated song, but it is one of the best on the album. “Lo Siento” is the Spanish version of “Sorry” and is another excellent track on the album.

Coming In Hot for the most part maintains a constant momentum when it comes to playing track after track of songs that were made to be played turned all the way up, but songs like “Black Heart” and “Lo Siento” also show Diamante’s versatility as an artist; she can perform songs like “War Cry,” then is able to tone it down to perform the softer tracks. Diamante is definitely Coming In Hot and starting her takeover of the music scene.
