Hago’s debut self-titled album brings the falafel-djent. It’s an interesting mix of jazz composition, progressive metal, Middle Eastern influences, and more that works even for someone like me who usually does not like jazz or prog. The album shows off the impressive technical and compositional skills of the musicians and has plenty of guest artists from around the world which contributes to the unique sound of the album. Hago is unlike anything I have ever heard and is highly recommended to the music buff looking for something new and out of the box.
Suggested tracks: “Gefilte Kabob” and “Shdemati”
